2008 Hunting Trips

Activities
The activities will include a day spent with a licensed hunting instructor to refresh the hunters with good safety practices, and sharpen shooting skills at the rifle range. After training is complete we will hunt two times per day from enclosed hunting stands. In the morning and evening we will share together in a Bible study.
NEW FOR THIS 2008! For those who will not hunt we will offer opportunity to hunt with a camera. A professional photographer will train you in the skills of using your camera. Each person hunting with a camera will need to bring their own digital camera. Camp craft skills will be shared, including orienteering and handwork.
Cost
The camp will cost $200 per person. Out of state hunting non-resident license is $300. Boys under seventeen must have a licensed hunter with them. Out of state fee for boys under seventeen years of age is $6. Our camp can hold a limit of thirty persons; however, the opportunity to hunt will be limited to ten licensed hunters.

Location
The hunt will be held at the Headwaters Ranch near Fredericksburg Texas. For directions you may go to www.headwatersranch.com. Or if you are traveling from I 35 in Austin follow RT.290 towards Fredericksburg. Several miles before that town (after Stonewall) you will turn left on F.M.1376 Take that to F.M. 1888 and turn left. Go approximately six miles and you will see a street sign “Green Kingdom Road”. Turn right and go through the green gate. Make sure to close the gate behind you. Follow that gravel road until you pass several houses and a lake. Our camp will be on the right after you cross a low water bridge. There will be a trailer and some white tents to mark the camp. Travel information and arrival time: If you are flying in to the San Antonio airport, we can pick you up on Nov. 4th before 10 A.M. and Nov. 10th before A.M. There is an addition $50 cost for round-trip airport transportation. Please call or e-mail your flight number and arrival time. Those that are driving should arrive before 12 noon at the camp on those respective dates. Our actual start time for the camps will be at noon and our hunter safety training will begin after lunch at 1:00.
Departure
Our hunts will conclude after the Friday night hunt for the first week and on Thursday night for the second week. The following morning will be a time to pack up and depart. A breakfast will be served on that morning (Saturday or Friday) as our last meal.
